.As NPP Thugs Attack Bishop Agyin- Asare At Christian Council Meeting Nana Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), whose defeat and subsequent refusal to accept the people’s verdict in the just ended elections that has led to some security concerns, has started sending his daughters abroad. One of them Dokua Akufo-Addo, left Ghana on Tuesday, December 18, onboard Virgin Atlantic airline to London. She has since been spotted in the United Kingdom (UK) away from the security unrest created in the country, following her father’s refusal to concede after suffering his second successive electoral defeat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The Herald is informed that her other siblings are expected to join her in London, sooner than later. Additional intelligence picked up from the Akufo-Addo household at Nima and East Legon in Accra, revealed that Dokua, left Ghana with heavily-loaded huge bags to London. She is suspected to be carrying the belongings of her other siblings who would be joining her later. The Herald has meanwhile been informed that some young men in the company of Nana Addo, when he met the Christian Council last Friday, verbally attacked the head of one of the famous Charismatic Churches, for expressing reservation about the hooliganism they exhibited after the announcement by the Electoral Commission (EC) of President John Mahama’s victory. This head’s concerns were that the destruction of properties, the assault on journalists and ordinary Ghanaians, especially at the residence of the NPP flagbearer, and his silence on the attacks was improper. His statements is said to have angered members of the entourage. Ex-NPP Youth Organizer and defeated NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Lawra, Anthony Karbo, is said to have led the vicious verbal attack on the Man of God, who happens to be the Vice-President of the Charismatic Churches Association. Nana Akufo-Addo, had at the meeting with the respected men of God, said “the NPP will not waver in its commitment to ensuring that Ghana remains a peaceful and stable country.” He explained why the National Executive Committee of the party found it difficult to accept the results of the 2012 elections. Nana Addo said “the party came to this conclusion after thoroughly analysing evidence available to us, that the results that was declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) is not a true reflection of what actually transpired at the polls and we have therefore decided to challenge the results in the constitutionally designated forum, which is the Supreme Court.”
Nana Addo explained that the party also deemed it important, to call personally on some key organizations and give them a first-hand briefing of what the party’s position is.

As usual, he did not show anything by way evidence to the Christian Council, that indeed his party was cheated at the polls.
But in a very passionate tone, the NPP Presidential Candidate said “a lot of propaganda is also making the rounds in some sections of the media that I am on some mission to destabilize our country and I find it equally necessary to come to you the Christian Council and assure you, that I, Nana Akufo-Addo, remain fully committed to the peace and stability of Ghana and will do no such thing to destroy it”. The NPP presidential candidate has met, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Pentecostal Council among other respected bodies without exhibiting any evidence to support his much-trumpeted electoral fraud. He said as Foreign Minister of Ghana, he saw with his eyes how conflicts could destroy nations and would be the last person to start any such thing in Ghana. “I did a lot also, together with President Kufuor, to help bring some of those conflicts to an end and will not turn back to come and start one in my own country. It can never be the case.” Nana Addo assured. He said “what we should not allow is the phenomenon that those who count the votes or even declare it, have a stronger voice than those who stand in the sun for long hours to cast their vote.” Stressing the point, Nana Addo said “it is absolutely vital that the voice of the voter reigns supreme and not the counter, collator or declarer of the votes” adding that “in this particular instance the NPP has good reason to believe that, that has not been the case.” He also used the occasion to thank all church leaders across the country, “because it is obvious that God listened to your intercessory prayers for peace and we are all living witnesses of that.”
