Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev Professor Emmanuel Martey, has stated that Ghana is under serious invasion by foreigners with exploitation of its natural resources and little or nothing is being done about it. “Ghana is being raped and no one cares,” he lamented calling on the Government, the security agencies, traditional rulers and the religious leaders to wake up and do something to stop these foreigners and the few unpatriotic Ghanaians from taking advantage of the entire nation. Rt. Rev. Prof. Martey said there was lawlessness everywhere in the country, citing illegal mining, armed robbery and other criminal activities that had engulfed the nation with politicians and traditional rulers being less sensitive. | The Moderator was delivering a sermon during the ordination of 10 Ministerial Probationers from the Brong Ahafo Presbytery, the Northern Presbytery and the Upper Presbytery in Wa on Sunday. Rt. Rev. Prof. Martey urged the newly ordained Ministers of God to go out and ask questions about the exploitation of the nation’s resources and the dehumanization of the less privileged in society in a well packaged and refined prophetic messages in order to give hope to the hopeless in society. He also reminded them of enemies who would fight against them both spiritually and physically and advised them to find time to pray and commune with God for His (God) power to overcome the challenges and temptations.
