The late Nigerian signer Fela Kuti was one of Africa's most colourful and influential musicians. He pioneered the infectious Afrobeat sound in the 1970s.
He was also a political icon in Nigeria, where he fought against government corruption.
For the last three years, his life has been depicted in a hugely popular show on Broadway, in London and in Lagos.
