Miscreants terrorise Lagosians from the many abandoned houses in the metropolis
AS he approached the long- abandoned building at No 32 Ojo Road that Friday evening , Johnson Chikezie , a bank worker , suddenly felt uncomfortable.
It was not quite 7.00 p.m but he remembered he had always told himself he would rather not walk along that stretch of Ojo Road in Ajeromo Ifelodun Local Council of Lagos State , alone at night.
But that evening, he was forced to walk past the building alone because his car broke down in the office and a colleague had dropped him so he would walk about 50 metres to the next commercial motorcyclists’ park.
He had almost successfully walked past when two young men suddenly appeared from within the long-abandoned uncompleted building and accosted him.
Quickly, one brought out what was obviously a locally-made gun, pointed it at him and told him to raise his hands….
