• Residents seek govt help as weekend rain flood ground city
TEARS streaming down her face, Madam Julina Obialla , a resident of Ogungbe Street in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Council of Lagos State on Saturday evening told The Guardian:
“Since the death of my husband three years ago , I have struggled with my children, doing whatever we can including menial jobs to survive. Now, look at what has befallen us. Where do we turn to now? All that we managed to gather over the years have been washed away in the flood.”
The middle-aged woman was lamenting her woes following the rain in Lagos over the weekend and which was light in some areas, was particularly heavy in the mainland,
